  • Dhobi Ghaat is an upcoming Hindi film produced and directed by Kiran Rao in her directorial debut. The film will release in theatres on 25 December 2010.
  • The film stars Aamir Khan and Prateek Babbar. Aamir Khan is said to have a lead role in the movie as a painter.
  • A.R. Rahman was approached for the music, but due to his tight schedules with Hollywood and a world tour, he declined the film. Hence, another two-time Oscar-winning Hollywood composer, Gustavo Santaolalla was signed it to compose the score and soundtrack of the film
  • Dhobi Ghaat will have its world premiere in September 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festiva
