Google Mail (GMail) Offline Again

Google Mail (GMail) Offline Again

Google have been having a few problems lately haven't they? First Google Mail, or GMail, went offline a couple of weeks ago for a good few hours, sparking concern for businesses who rely on the service. Now Google have confirmed that once again GMail is unavailable to a "small" number of users.
Instead of emails from mum and dad, these users this morning have been faced with an Error 500 message with a numeric code 67.
Google have released a statement to the BBC saying, "We're aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a small subset of users. The affected users are having difficulty accessing their accounts."
It goes on to say, "The team is working as quickly as they can to resolve the problem. We know how important e-mail is to our users, so we take issues like this very seriously."
The free email service is used by more than 113 million users worldwide making it something of a big deal when it hits the skids.
Google's Apps Status Dashboard still shows a service disruption to GMail, but you can keep checking it for latest updates.
