Epic is a modern web browser developed by Hidden Reflex which is a software product startup founded by Alok Bhardwaj in 2007. Epic Browser is based on Mozilla Firefox which is specifically use to customize the taste of Indian users.
Epic Web Browser is the first Indian internet browser which had been launched on 15th July, 2010. It also has the first integrated virus protection in a browser powered by ESET. The Browser has several preinstalled widgets such as social networking, chat clients and email facilities integrated into the browser which is similar to Flock Browser. The browser has been designed and developed as per the needs of the Indian net users.
Epic is available as a free download which currently supports Microsoft Windows platform. In the U.S., Alok Bharadwaj was raised and the success of open source software and web 2.0 innovations inspired him. Hidden Reflex started as a team of three but soon developed and now has dedicated teams working on two products – the Epic Browser and NewsDrink at the same time. This browser also has with lots of apps like a transliterator for Indian scripts, a web snippet tool, timer, to do list, a full featured text editor, games, Google maps, clients for chatting, social networking such as orkut, facebook and twitter, email apps, and several other installable web apps.
